Feeder Roads and Road Reconstruction
       
MNL Consulting understands that when dealing with large community housing projects, we need to deal with the building of new dirt roads (feeder roads) or the reconstruction of existing dirt roads is a major undertaking in third world countries. The answer was to focus on a 100% environmentally friendly construction method that would last for years, that was economical, and with minimal maintenance.

By providing third world countries with modern road construction equipment, the resources and the training we could improve the road conditions in any country, which would be highly beneficial to the economics and public safety of a country.

By using an environmental solution called EarthZyme, the same solution used in the EarthBlocks construction system for affordable housing projects prior motioned on this site. The EarthZyme is a product specifically developed as an effective aid to the workability, mixibility, binding and compaction of clay-based soils. By its unique multi-enzyme actions it alters and improves the soils' physical and chemical properties, which result in significantly less mechanical effort to achieve greater densities for compaction. The greater density that is achieved also produces a significant increase in strength that provides extremely high weight-bearing ratios. The high weight-bearing ratio combined with the high density inherent with an EarthZyme stabilized soil provides for an enhanced construction material that is 100% environmentally friendly.

EarthZyme is beneficial for a number of applications involved in road building as well as a number of other applications involving infrastructure. The enzymes found in EarthZyme's unique formulation work as catalysts and molecularly bond the clay particles to all other materials present.

Because the material becomes bonded on a molecular level it becomes impermeable to water, significantly reducing any short and long-term maintenance costs that may occur in the future. Its impermeable characteristics produce a material that is extremely resistant to all types of erosion and the freeze / thaw characteristics found in various climates throughout the world. EarthZyme has been successful for road applications that include the sub-grade, sub-base, base course and shoulders. All of which produce results that exceed industry standards while only costing a fraction of the price of conventional methods.

The options when building an EarthZyme road are endless. EarthZyme can be successfully used for roads bearing high, medium and low levels of traffic and weight. If a natural look is desired EarthZyme can be used along with a very thin layer of gravel as a wear surface to provide a natural looking road with strength bearing ratios similar to cement or asphalt. If a cement or asphalt surface is desired then EarthZyme can be used underneath to provide significant strength. As a result of the increased strength due to the EarthZyme base a great reduction in cement or asphalt is needed as a result, producing remarkable cost savings.

The benefits of EarthZyme can be utilized for a number of infrastructure related applications other than road building. The cost effectiveness, ease of application, durability and longevity of EarthZyme make it a key ingredient for many construction purposes. Any surface or area that requires stabilization can achieve the desired results through an EarthZyme application with minimal associated costs and absolutely no adverse effects on the environment.
