Eco-Friendly
Waste Management Systems
MNL
Consulting has been involved with research new technologies
and working with civil engineers to address waste management
issues. Finding solutions to commercial methods of disposal
of waste is vital to preserving our fragile environment. The
production of toxic waste is on the rise and becoming a major
issue in dealing with this overwhelming problem worldwide.
Our goal is to provide real and sound technologies to our
partnered humanitarian and economic development groups.
MNL
is on the move to find solutions to new advanced waste management
issues. The need for waste management in order to protect
the environment from pollutants, is a priority for the immediate
future for a great many third world and developing countries.
With that in mind, we have created an overview of some advanced
waste management systems.
Plasma
Energy Pyrolysis System
There
are several leading-edge technologies for waste management
that do not cause further pollution of the environment from
its by-products. Our organization has researched and selected
the following two technologies as being superior in effectiveness
and cost-to-benefit analysis.
Plasma
Energy Pyrolysis System (PEPS)
Advanced Pyrolysis System
PEPS
offers a cost-effective, environmentally friendly alternative
to incomplete waste disposal solutions such as incineration
and land filling. PEPS reduces the waste's volume by
a factor of approximately 110:1, its mass by approximately
10:1, and does not require any residue to be land filled.
The
key to the Plasma Energy Pyrolysis System is that it
does not use combustion. Without adding fuel and air to the
waste, the intense heat of the plasma arc torch in the process
chamber melts inorganics (e.g., metals) into the slag bath
where they are permanently bound in the glass matrix. Organic
material is converted into a syn-gas rich in hydrogen and
other high energy compounds.
A
syn-gas cleaning system (gas scrubber) neutralizes the acidity
of the syn-gas and removes any impurities. The syn-gas can
then be used as a clean fuel to produce steam or electricity.
All by-products of the plasma pyrolysis are safe for the environment,
finally bringing to a halt the cycle of moving pollutants
from wastes to air to soil to water and so on without end.
With PEPS, the liability chain is terminated.

PEPS
is available in two configurations: a fixed unit for processing
large waste volumes at a central location and a mobile unit
for on-site destruction. By bringing the disposal unit to
the waste, Mobile PEPS will eliminate the difficulties
of transporting hazardous waste.
Advanced
Pyrolysis System
The
advantage of pyrolysis, unlike incineration, is the destructive
decomposition of waste materials using indirect heat in the
absence of oxygen. Burning wastes through incineration with
direct flame in the presence of oxygen can be explosive, causing
turbulence in the burn-chamber, which fosters a recombination
of the released gases. Waste destruction in an oxygen rich
atmosphere, is highly inefficient and creates harmful substances.
The
pyrolytic process applies high temperatures (from 1,200 degrees
F to 1,800 degrees F) indirectly to a retort chamber which
houses an environment free of flame and oxygen. Inside, hydrocarbons
and other waste components are converted into gases and basic
elemental solids via destructive distillation and molecular
decomposition. All of the off-gases are diverted to a thermal
oxidizer operating at 2,250 degrees F for conversion to carbon
dioxide, oxygen and water vapor. The remaining solid residues
passing out of the retort are typically carbon, sterile sands
and fixed, non-leachable metals.
Pyrolytic
Thermal Converter Systems are designed for processing a variety
of waste materials including: hazardous and non-hazardous
solids, medical waste, PCBs, petrochemical, and many other
waste by-products efficiently, reliably, and safely. This
type of system is environmentally sound, has outstanding energy
efficiency and portability, and they provide up to 92% volume
reduction of many feed materials. Specialized processing lines
have been engineered to treat industrial wastes, PCBs, medical
wastes, petrochemical waste, municipal solid wastes and a
variety of other waste materials.

Wet
Waste and Sewage Treatment Plants
We
are dedicated to cleaning up the environment and helping
to prevent disease by build advanced sewage plants
that focus on concepts of recycling everything possible.
Wet and biosolids waste are recycled and used in agricultural
projects instead of being dumped in our oceans. We
strive to strike a balance between mankind and nature. |

A
wet waste and sewage treatment plant that supports a community
of about 100,000 persons can exceed $60 million dollars for
the project Cost. This type of treatment plant can handle
up to 25 mgd (million gallons a day), but generally would
operate at between 11 and 12 mgd.
To the left is a photo of a large-scale 95-acre treatment
plant. This plant treats wastewater for an estimated 1.4 million
people; it treats millions of gallons of wastewater from local
homes, businesses, and industries, which can exceed $420 million
dollars for the project cost. The average capacity would be
about 115 million gallons per day. The effluent (treated wastewater
leaving the plant) pumps would handle a maximum of 325 million
gallons per day.
Ultrazyme
MNL
Consulting strives to research and bring
to the table new and advanced technologies that
can truly impact projects such as waste management,
water reclamation, etc.
Products such as Ultrazyme is a product that we
are recommending for waste cleanup, waste management,
industrial cleanup and sewage plant treatment.
-
Remediates waste being stored in
waste lagoons
-
Is used at wastewater treatment
facilities
-
Ability to remediate industrial wastes
of all kinds
-
Effectively cleans up oil spills on land
and in water
Ultrazyme is a unique waste remediation product
that has been specifically formulated for multiple
applications. It is a highly concentrated, proprietary
blend of selected natural microorganisms and essential
nutrients that increase bacterial activity in order
to significantly decrease the decomposition time
necessary for the remediation of any organic contaminant.
Ultrazyme cultures are a blend of enzymes that utilize
non-living organic matter as a food source. The
cultures are not harmful to either aquatic or land
plants or animals and have been released into marine
and fresh water treatment areas with total ecological
safety.
While Ultrazyme effectively disposes of any unwanted
organic matter it simultaneously eliminates all
odors normally present in the decomposition process.
Ultrazyme controls odors through bio-augmentation
of the host environment. Because it is in liquid
form bacterial stimulation is immediate, instantly
initiating the odor control process. The decomposition
of most organics results in the production of malodorous
gasses including Hydrogen Sulfide. Ultrazyme not
only prohibits the production of these gasses but
also uses any that are produced in a unique metabolic
process further increasing the rate of decomposition.
The enzymes found in Ultrazyme's unique formula
convert organic waste materials into fractions of
smaller molecular size that can be easily digested
by biodegrading bacteria. The smaller particles
offer a greater surface area for the bacteria to
feed on, which explains the increased speed of bacterial
degradation. The formula also consists of nutrients
that are essential to foster an environment that
promotes bacterial growth and reproduction. Ultrazyme's
introduction into any system produces a host environment
that is free of odor and perfectly suited for enhanced
bacterial degradation.
Ultrazyme's ability to decompose any organic waste
material makes it a very diverse product. Application
rates and procedures vary depending on the specific
application, but most applications can be done using
preexisting simple spray equipment or automatic
dosing machine. Adding to the diversity of Ultrazyme
is the fact that it is effective in a wide range
of temperatures and pH levels, while also working
in both aerobic and anaerobic environments.
The scope of Ultrazyme's applications includes but
is not limited to:
-
Wastewater Treatment Facilities
-
Septic Tanks
